The fall Sephora Savings Event is when I restock with intention.
Four things made my cart this round, chosen the way I choose anything I bring home: does it earn its place, and will I reach for it more than once?
I build my sale list weeks ahead and edit it down, the same way I'd edit a room. What follows is a short, considered cart, including past favs and new to me finds.

Face: m.ph
Mary Phillips built her reputation as a working makeup artist, and her line reads like it: few products, each with a clear job. These two do the quiet work of a complexion that looks like skin, which is always the look I’m seeking.
m.ph Le Skin Weightless Serum Foundation ($49). A sheer, skin-first serum foundation for days when foundation feels like too much. I want something that evens things out and then gets out of the way, and this is that.
m.ph Underpainting ($64). A cream palette of corrector, two highlights, and two contour shades, buildable from sheer to medium. The idea is borrowed from painting: you lay down light and shadow first, then go lighter on everything that comes after. One compact, five steps, and it travels well.
Lips: a small, edited wardrobe
I think of lip products the way I think of a capsule closet. A few dependable neutrals, and fewer wow choices that do something unexpected.
Charlotte Tilbury Mini Pillow Talk Lipstick & Liner Set ($26). Pillow Talk is a classic for a reason: a muted pink nude that works with nearly everything. The mini size is the sensible way to own it, and it slips into a travel pouch without a second thought. I’m very excited to try the light version for the first time, as the OG pillow talk leans a bit too dark for my fair skin tone.
EADEM Le Chouchou Softening + Smoothing Peptide Daily Lip Balm ($24). An Allure Best of Beauty 2026 winner, in a sculptural silver tube that looks good on a vanity tray. A peptide lip balm with a soft wash of color, for the in-between hours. I’m excited to try this new color in the line up. I liked the darkest brown they offer, but I want a more every day color and not one so editorial.
Wonderskin Wonder Blading ($22). The unexpected piece. A lip stain that goes on, sets, and stays through coffee and conversation. Ideal for long travel days when reapplying is not happening. I especially liked the color Hush.
Sephora Collection Colorful 8HR Longwear Transferproof Lip Liner ($13). The unglamorous hero. A good rosy liner makes every other lip product look more deliberate, and it's the easiest thing in the cart to justify. I’m trying Pink Frosting next!
The MERIT edit
MERIT is the brand I'd point to if someone asked what makeup they should start with. Warm metal, amber glass, and a short list of products that layer well together. Four pieces made the cart.
MERIT Flush Balm Cream Blush ($30). A cream blush in a compact that looks like a small sculpture. Dab it on with fingers, and it reads as a natural flush.
MERIT Signature Lip Lightweight Lipstick ($28). A soft, wearable lipstick in a tortoiseshell-toned case.
MERIT x Erdem Eye and Cheek Set ($68). A limited winter collaboration with the London designer Erdem, with floral detailing on the packaging. A set for the person who collects beautiful objects as much as makeup.
MERIT Retrospect L'Extrait de Parfum ($92). The splurge. The bottle alone, a smoky glass pebble under a gold cap, earns its spot on a dresser.
Hair: a scalp reset
Good hair starts at the scalp, and travel, hard water, and dry shampoo all leave their mark. These two form a simple weekly reset.
The INKEY List Glycolic Acid Exfoliating Scalp Scrub ($16). A gentle exfoliating scrub that clears product buildup. Once a week, before shampoo, is all it asks. Easily the best value in the cart.
Nécessaire The Shampoo ($32). Fragrance free, in a clean, softly colored bottle that looks at home on an open shelf. I appreciate a brand that treats a shower staple as a design object without making it precious.
Gifting: stocking stuffers that feel considered
The sale lands right before holiday shopping begins in earnest, so I always add a few gifts. My rule: something the recipient would enjoy but probably wouldn't buy for herself.
EADEM Mini Le Chouchou Peptide Lip Set ($39). Mini tubes in a box that looks like a small art print. Keep one, gift two, or give the whole set to the friend who notices packaging.
Sephora Favorites Perfume Sampler ($38). A set of fragrance samples with a certificate to redeem for a travel size of the one you love. It's the gift of choosing, which is the best kind for someone still searching for a signature scent.
Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette ($75). The splurge gift. Three soft finishing powders in a sleek, dark compact that feels like an object worth keeping. For the friend who appreciates a beautifully made thing as much as what's inside. I prefer this palette over the one with blushes, as I feel they run too bright and pigmented for me, but if your recipient wants more color options, the formula is still great in the other Hourglass palettes!
How I shop the Savings Event
The discount depends on your Beauty Insider tier, and higher tiers get early access. Check your Sephora account for this year's dates and code before you check out.
Make the list first. Save everything to a wishlist ahead of time.
Prioritize the pricier staples. A percentage off matters most on what you'd buy anyway, like a foundation restocks or palette.
Buy gifts now. Gift sets are usually eligible, and it beats December's full-price rush.
Everything here is linked in my shop!
